Welcome to Willowpitch

Welcome to our new look Willowpitch website.  As you can see, we have undertaken quite a few changes from our previous site.

As many of you reading this will know, Mr Richard Walker made famous the words 'Willow Pitch' when in September 1952 he captured his (then) record carp 'Clarissa', at Redmire Pool.  I have always considered that the name 'Willow Pitch' to be associated with good fortune - and great fishing!

Since reading of Mr Walkers capture of Clarissa I have always been drawn to fish at pitches with a willow tree.  One such 'Willow Pitch' I found was at the P.B. lake located near to Le Mans in France.  This lake is controlled by the company 'Lake Escapes' who organise trips there.  If you are keen to catch big carp (to nearly 60lb), catfish or sturgeon (yes sturgeon!) that is the trip for you.  Have a look at their website for more information or contact me if you want to know how I got on there.

At our own Willowpitch, we may not be able to offer you a record carp (although we do look after a carp lake in Gloucestershire - have a look at the Red Beck page on this website), but we will always offer you some superb items, excellent value for money and a wonderful service.  If you are lucky enough, you may land a prize that you will treasure forever.
